Job Description
The responsibilities of this position include:
Job Duties:
- Conduct energy audits of a range of different building types, and prepare life cycle cost analysis for energy saving opportunities
- Analyse metered energy data, building energy management system (BeMS) logs, operational information, and other relevant supporting information to identify opportunities for energy reduction and building performance optimisation
- Carry out post occupancy evaluation (POE) of new buildings, including carrying out occupant surveys
- Develop robust spreadsheet based energy scenario models to support the development of energy and carbon management strategies for clients with large portfolios of buildings
- Prepare energy and sustainability statements to support planning applications for new developments
- Support building services design colleagues to conduct options analyses and specify energy efficient and low carbon buildings and technologies
- Support district heating specialists in preparing techno-economic models and feasibility studies for low carbon district heating and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) projects
- Support specialists in preparing renewable energy technology feasibility studies
- Assist with specification and management of installation of temporary energy monitoring equipment at client sites, and analyse collected data
- Carry out project management and administration tasks, manage smaller projects, and work towards becoming a certified AECOM Project Manager
- Support team leaders in preparing tenders and proposals for new work, and take a lead in preparing proposals for smaller pieces of work (e.g. up to £10,000 in fees)
- Line manage an energy consultant
- Join the broader AECOM sustainability practice, network with colleagues, and engage other internal project opportunities
