Develops designs, including concepts, coordination, design documentation and contract administration on projects, while working as part of the project team.
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Contributes to the development of technical proposals.
Develops design by gathering, correlating and analyzing engineering data using computer software and/or established procedures and standards. When possible, collects and analyses information from discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models
Fully develops the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure production of high quality outputs in accordance with project timelines.
Prepares and supervises the preparation of designs, calculations, specifications, sketches, diagrams, discipline BIM models, drawings, reports and tender documents.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Performs work with little supervision in accordance with a schedule and with an understanding of the budget.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers and CAD technicians
Coordinates with other discipline engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process, including the performance of BIM spatial reviews (virtual walkthroughs and clash detection)
Participates in design progress and coordination meetings.
Checks and ensures quality of model production by Revit/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Is Chartered or is working to toward a chartership • Has experience in the defence, commercial and healthcare sectors • Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited University or equivalent
