Job Description

The Role Responsibilities

The role holder is responsible for supporting the Head of HR Process Design & Governance in the effective running of the process universe through driving operational excellence across the HR function and working with Global Process Owners to standardise and simplify processes and bring an end-user mindset to design/documentation , in line with process design standards

Strategy
 

  • Analyse HR processes and identify ways of promoting and implementing operational excellence through standardising, simplifying and streamlining processes, whilst keeping customer requirements and experiences at the heart of the enhancements
  • Lead on the implementation of continuous improvement ideas and process re-engineering initiatives including involvement in HR transformation projects, whilst keeping customer requirements and experiences at the heart of the enhancements, including:
    • Performing upstream and downstream impact analysis on potential improvement ideas and ensure ongoing compliance to Group policies, laws and regulations
    • Ensure that changes are scheduled in a way to minimise the impact on the Group and the function and maximise the benefit of improvement through creation and delivery of a change roadmap approved by relevant HR stakeholders
    • Working with the wider COO team to ensure pathway to readiness of HR processes for system deployments proposed over the medium/long term
    • Collaborating with process owners, global people services and country HR teams to implement ideas, ensuring the necessary approvals are obtained people going live e.g., operational risk
  • Recognise how different HR processes fit together and ensure a client lens is embedded in HR processes, aligning to the HR Process Universe taxonomy

Processes
 

  • Review process documents within the end to end process through lean methodology, identifying the value stream waste
  • Use proposed process changes as an opportunity to optimise HR processes to enhance employee experience
  • Work closely with Process Architect to optimise the outputs of the annual process review
  • Work with the process engineering team to effect change to HR processes, following collaboration with GPOs or the Transformation Team.
  • Act as an operational excellence centre of excellence for large HR transformation projects to aide, guide and contribute to the deliverables, scope, and process design.

People and Talent
 

  • Embed a culture of operational excellence through promoting lean thinking and providing training, where appropriate
  • Stimulate an environment where working together to drive continuous improvement is the norm
  • Develop communications strategies and plans that deliver timely and relevant messages to the right stakeholders through appropriate activities and channels
  • Work closely with the process design team to share best practice and lessons learned which impact the HR process universe
  • Lead lean coaching/training sessions with the HR process team and other HR stakeholders
  • Act as the Relationship Manager for all London Gloal Process Owners to deliver good process outcomes, in line with process design guidelines and process modelling conventions

Risk Management
 

  • Work with operational risk to develop a strong understanding of the Group Operational Risk Framework and ensure that process change follows the required governance
  • Ensure all process change follows the process governance framework with the HR Business Process tool being the golden source
  • Escalate any significant risks or issues to HR Process Design & Governance Head and work with stakeholders to close out the gap.
