Job Description

The purpose of this position is to develop electronic security designs, documentation and contract administration on projects; to support the preparation of bids and tender materials for internal clients. Operating as a part of the Advanced Security Team you will have the chance to work with major blue-chip clients and develop your design and businesses skills in a world leading engineering consultancy.

• High level and detail design of Video Surveillance, Controlled Access, Intrusion Detection, and other electronic security systems.
• Apply design and technical knowledge to produce high quality design drawings, specifications and tender documents
• Contribute to successful project delivery by providing defined services to meet project time constraints and quality targets
• Participate and lead design progress and coordination meetings with other discipline engineers to support the continuity of the design process.
• Conduct Witness Testing and Handover process.
• Ensuring adherence to Corporate Standards.
• Ensuring that all activities are performed in a safe manner and comply to AECOM’s OH&S requirements.
• Ensuring the relevant QA procedures are followed.
• Maintain, develop and retain a high standard of professional skills and commit to continual professional development and learning on relevant technical, business and human relationship matters.
• Has a solid foundation of understanding or analysis of client business practices and goals; develops and formulates solutions to client problems on assigned projects.
• Under general direction, responsible for the creation of work plans and task definitions.
• Has broad technical knowledge but possesses an area of specialization or focus.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Relevant work experience Excellent IT Skills Some CAD experience desirable Some Threat and Risk assessment experience desirable Relevant experience in design and delivery of security projects within the security industry (security consultancy preferable). Candidates would ideally have experience in the design of security systems on building projects in vertical segments such as retail, mixed-use developments, and hospitality and healthcare and sports facilities. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning Ideally you will live locally to the office or be willing to relocate
