Finance Manager / Accounts Manager. An Avonmouth firm are looking for a Finance Manager to join the team. The Finance Manager main duties include:
Overall management of credit control
Chasing customers for payment
Investigating queries
Process customer remittance advices including tracking of retention and contra charges
Produce a weekly report of debtors and overview of status
To keep aged debtor days below 70 days
To highlight to upper management of any debtors that are a significant concern
Processing month-end including but not limited to;
Work in progress
Stock in hand
Application for payment journals
Accruals
Prepayments
Depreciation
Nominal reconciliations
Invoice finance Ledger reconciliation
Maintaining finance reports
Overseeing petty cash
Managing expenses
Managing and processing wages (currently run monthly)
Reconcile bank
Managing subcontractor HR & CIS Submissions
File the quarterly VAT return
Manage Senior Finance Assistant
Covering the duties of the Senior Finance Assistant when absent
Any additional tasks asked of by the Finance Controller
The hours of work for this role are 7:30-16:30 Monday to Friday.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The Finance Manager / Accounts Manager will need Finance Manager / Accounts experience, experience of credit control, will be qualified to AAT, CIMA Cert BA or ACCA RQF Level 3. The Finance Manager / Accounts Manager will need experience using Sage 50 Accounts Professional and Sage 50 payroll is desirable.
