Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Apprentice to join our Accounts team. You will work for a well-established and reputable equestrian safety company. As part of the Accounts team you will pride yourself on accuracy, have a skill set for calculating figures and adeptness at paying attention to detail.

Main duties will include but not limited to:

· Processing all supplier invoices and credit notes

· Processing Credit Card expenses and chase for any missing receipts

· Checking and reconciling supplier statements

· Managing the payment process of supplier invoices

· Carrying out bank reconciliation's

· Calculating accruals and prepayments

· Maintaining fixed asset register

· Inter-company transactions

· Assisting with month-end

To be successful you will need to be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, be willing to learn new skills specific to the role and have the ability to work alongside other departments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will undertake an AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting as part of your apprenticeship which will take between 6 to 12 months depending on the individual. The course will cover subjects within the following: Basic Costing. Computerized Accounting. Working Effectively in Accounts and Finance. Processing Bookkeeping Transactions. Control Accounts, Journals and the Banking System. Quick and accurate word processing. Basic Excel, use of simple formulas. Adaptable. Organized. Ability to priorities workloads. Good communication skills. GCSE English B or above. GCSE Math’s B or above. GCSE ICT C or above.
