Job Description

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated surveyors to support this exciting phase of our growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
  • Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.
  • Ensures commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
  • Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training.
  • Delivery of cost management outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution. CSCS cardDegree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management. Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre-Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution. Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation. Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential. Experience of project types/sizes/sectors within our active sectors in the UK (and preferably the North) – i.e. Commercial Offices, Residential, Mixed Use, Education, Healthcare, and Industrial Able to work under own initiative where appropriate working closely with the Senior Cost Managers and Associates in the delivery of some of our projects.
