As Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for the entering and accuracy of financial records for a portfolio of clients. This will be a pivotal role supporting the Clients Managers in conducting accounting activities relating to the maintenance of complete and accurate accounts.
This role is permanent and based in the office on a full-time basis. All necessary health & safety measures relating to Covid19 and social distancing are in place within the office.

Processing purchase invoices
Supplier statement reconciliations
Bank reconciliations
Preparing accounts
Preparing payments runs
Submitting VAT returns accurately
Supporting with payroll where required
General bookkeeping duties
Managing client queries effectively

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger role. Experience of using Sage, Xero or QuickBooks. Strong Excel skills. Positive working mentality. Organized and methodical worker with the ability to priorities tasks. Excellent attention to detail. Strong communication skills across all levels within a business. AAT or similar qualification would be desirable. Experience of Iris would be desirable as would previous experience of working within practice.
