We are hiring a Senior Financial Reporting Oversight Analyst to independently audit and supervise the production of the outsourced financial statements for each of the LGIM Funds/Schemes, ensuring that annual and interim financial statements are filed with the relevant regulators in a regulatory compliant manner.
What you'll be doing
Assisting the management of the production and audit testing of financial statements for all outsourced schemes, ensuring the third party administrators produce accurate and timely information in a regulatory compliant format.
Overseeing the regular audits of outsourced fund accounting activities, providing independent analysis of process and control effectiveness, such that recommendations can be made for continuous improvement and move towards a best practice environment.
Actively working with, and challenging opinions of the scheme’s auditors and outsourced fund accounting functions, such that the financial statements are both compliant from an accounting and disclosure standpoint, as well as industry best practice.
Applying a detailed understanding of financial markets, complex market instruments and varying product features, such that the long and short manager’s reports for clients (>300 reports issued per annum, circulation 1.5m copies) accurately identify the product risks and provide appropriate accounting disclosures in accordance with regulatory and best practice guidance.
Directly assisting in the operational management of relationships with the Fund Accountants (3 teams across 3 jurisdictions), audit firms (5 teams across 3 firms), and printers (1), such that the accounts, distributions and tax filings to HMRC are compiled in a timely, controlled and wholly accurate manner.
Managing and authorizing distribution rates for each paying scheme, ensuring appropriate calculation of equalization, taxation and payments.
Calculating and reviewing complex divergence patterns on pricing and distributions, such that errors or issues with regards revenue apportionment between unit classes are resolved and corrected in a controlled manner.
Assisting the business area on any project work undertaken and provide advice and guidance to project teams as required.
Ensuring all tax returns are submitted to HMRC within regulatory timeframes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
CIMA, ACCA or ACA fundamental levels (or equivalent). Detailed knowledge of the IMA Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) and international accounting regulations, including FRS102 and Lux GAAP. Good understanding of fund investments, oversight structure and interested stakeholders in business model. Expert knowledge of outsourced control processes. Strong ability to communicate and influence on technical issues, to a wide range of stakeholders. Ability to analyze large amounts of data across systems to identify and remedy control issues. Ability to understand, interpret, confidently communicate and challenge the application of regulations by peers, third party administrators, and auditors, such that best practice and compliance is achieved in L&G reports. Working knowledge of governance structures and required regulatory oversight, implicit in FCA, CBoI and CSSF regulatory environment.
