Job Description
Role Duties:
- Support the Programme Management team in the delivery of its strategic goals in relation to capability, growth and commercial targets;
- Lead and deliver large, complex Programme Management commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups;
- Ensure commissions are managed and delivered to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations;
- Ensure a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation is applied to all commissions;
- Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional teams to support successful Programme delivery;
- Identify and act upon Business Development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities within and without the Programme Management team;
- Lead and support the development of proposals throughout the entire bidding process;
- Ensure all direct reports are engaged, developed and supported along their own career journeys; and
- Identify opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and promote the Programme Management team both internally and externally with clients and relevant industry bodies.
- Provides oversight and management for multiple projects that are less complex and less sensitive in nature. For example, projects assigned would be smaller in scale and scope.
- Without any supervision, is responsible for and oversees all components of an assigned program.
- Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to makes recommendations.
- Manages program resources.
- Directs the work of a group of Project and/or Program Managers.
- Influences, motivates and challenges others while adapting leadership styles to a variety of situations.
Minimum Requirements
- Extensive public and private sector infrastructure, urban regeneration, sustainability, commercial, residential, government, healthcare, education or science experience;
- Complex, multi-disciplinary Programme experience essential;
- Proven track record for delivery;
- Demonstrable client engagement at senior levels;
- Experienced in a client management role – able to manage the account in terms of ‘live’ Programmes while seeking new opportunities;
- Line Management experience in a comparative consultancy business;
- Highly motivated with excellent industry network;
- Possess the ability to work across service lines (including a track record of cross-selling); and
- Commercial experience is essential along with a proven track record of winning and retaining new clients.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Degree level education, ideally Project or Programme Management/Construction/Engineering. Managing Successful Programmes accredited (or international equivalent) preferred. Prince 2 or APM accreditation preferred Experience using Business Information tools preferred.
