Job Description

Our client, a respected employer based in Cardiff is working with us exclusively to recruit an Interim Project Accountant to assist with a system implementation. Reporting to the Finance Manager your focus will be supporting the FM with the implementation of the new system along with P2P (Purchase to Pay).

Responsibilities:

• Ensure full integration liaising closely with the ICT provider
• Providing specialist and organization-wide training and support as required
• Reviewing systems performance and identifying system issues
• Complete Finance Team user acceptance testing (UAT), documenting test script and outcome
• Documenting processes and procedures
• Develop data access and reporting solutions
• Support Finance Team members during implementation stage
• Troubleshooting and fixing finance related system issues
• Working with all departments to ensure appropriate user access to P2P
• Develop P2P approval matrix to ensure compliance
• Assist with finance department responsibilities as and when required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Training and supporting finance team members. To provide expert technical support to the Finance team, promoting and extending their use of the system. Review working practices and contribute to the review of policies and procedures. Offer new ideas and solutions to challenges. Actively participate in collaboration and team working within and across functions. Having already implemented finance systems you shall be able to effectively manage time and be mindful of process and procedure change. Having key involvement of system implementations in the past with the ability to educate and develop working patterns for a Finance team. Technically strong you shall be project minded and able to deliver results. Accountant Qualified by experience. Advanced IT software skills, including Excel macros. Demonstrate qualification by experience with at least 3 years employment at Accountant level. Experience of development of financial reporting systems, procedures, and controls. Experience of successfully integrating finance systems with other in-house systems. Highly numerate and analytical with the ability to interpret and present data clearly. Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel and a good understanding of databases, data uploads, extraction, and interfaces with other systems. Able to identify inefficiencies, suggesting and implementing innovative solutions. Professional confidence and excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas and principles at all levels.
