Job Description

* Ensures monthly Management Accounts are submitted on time and accurately in line with group deadlines
* Ensure weekly and monthly forecast are submitted timely and accurately in line with group deadlines.
* Ensures Central monthly payroll is submitted on time and accurately in line with group deadlines.
* Processes quarterly VAT return timely and accurately in line with group deadlines
* Team Management of a team of 3, including weekly priority meetings, quarterly "Are You on Tracks" and annual PDP's to ensuring that the balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled monthly, including Debtors, Creditors and all suffix accounts before these control accounts are closed.
* Ensure that all central costs are recharged to the operational sites in a timely and accurate manner.
* Drive cost savings and provided accounting support with any operational improvements from Central, to ensure central costs are kept as low as possible, this would be done via the monthly Ops review.
* Co-ordinate the daily process of payments for vehicles purchased centrally to ensure no delays to customer payment nor payments to supplies and the control environment is adhered
* Holds monthly debt review meetings, with particular emphasis on manufacturer bonus debt and finance commission debtors, ensuring all debt is chased.
* Take the accounting lead on the creation of a new profit centre with the head office team (E-commerce), including MI, bonus payment for payroll and providing accounting support to operational support


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Newly qualified accountant (0-2 years preferably) * Driven and motivated individual used to working in a demanding and fast paced working environment * A strong technical accounting ability * Must be a strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills * Being able to deal communicate and work with both financial and non-financial stakeholders of the business * Must be able to prioritise workloads in an efficient and effective manner and to be able to work on their own initiative * Self-motivated and a key team player
