Job Description
We are a SME scaffolding company and are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team.
Reporting directly to the finance manager and director your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Full bookkeeping duties - Sales and purchase ledger entries
- Credit control
- Suppliers accounts reconciliation
- Bank Reconciliations
- CIS - verification, submissions and certification
- Staff and subcontractors - data and contracts administration
- General office and other admin duties.
The ideal candidate:
- You have 2 days a week available to work with us in the office
- Happy to work on a self -employed, part-time basis
- Double entry bookkeeping knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks or similar cloud-based software package
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience of the construction industry would be advantageous
- Able to work quickly AND accurately, as well as being highly organised and focused
- Good written and oral English language skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Happy to follow company policies and procedures to complete the work
- You are confident, resourceful, take pride in your contribution, able to work to deadlines, well organised, calm and energetic
- Locally based
Experience:
- Sage50, Xero and QuickBooks:
- CIS submissions
- Bookkeeping experience - 3 years
- AAT qualification
