Job Description

Job Requirements:

  • Co-ordinate disciplinary hearings, under the direction of the HR Manager and take notes during hearings
  • Provide advice and support to the managers and senior leadership team concerning a number of areas including grievances, sickness management, capability and probationary investigations
  • Oversee the safeguarding and DBS procedures for staff ensuring that best practices is maintained and reviewing the procedures and policies
  • Assist with the recruitment of all staff, including advertising for staff, arranging interviews and ensuring that all references and checks are carried out and completed
  • Produce contracts, manage the probation process and liaise with the People Development team regarding induction training for new staff, leading Inductions Sessions as appropriate
  • To have an understanding and be aware of the responsibilities and duties arising from the Children's Act 2004 and Working together in relation to children

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous HR experience including a demonstrable knowledge of ER Knowledge of Safer Recruitment Practises Previous experience of working within an environment such as Education, Healthcare or childcare Ideally CIPD level 3 or 5 but will accept applicants who are qualified by experience
