Job Description

We have an opportunity available for an Accounts Semi-Senior within our modern professional accountancy practice as part of a small team. Covid-19 update: Our normal office hours have reduced, and as a result home working will be required.

Permanent Full-time position – Monday – Friday 37.50 Hours per week
Due to continued growth of the company we are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi-Senior who will work within our Swansea Office. You will be involved in ensuring that deadlines are met for our clients as well as looking for opportunities to demonstrate the high service level we offer. A competitive salary and development opportunities will be available for the right candidate. Previous practice experience is essential. During the current situation the role will be a mixture of office and homeworking following initial training, with an ongoing review of this to be monitored. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

1. Preparation and review of annual accounts

2. Preparation of Corporate and Personal Tax Returns

3. Undertake general bookkeeping duties on behalf of clients

4. Preparation of VAT Returns

5. Assistance with the preparation of payroll, when required

6. Preparation of statutory documents

7. General administrative duties

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of taxes, in particular VAT, Corporate & Personal taxes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-managing, organized and able to work under pressure. Ability to work within a team environment. Proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel. Ability to priorities and work to tight deadlines. Experience of Cloud based software including Xero, QuickBooks & Sage.
