To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a qualified accountant, with in-house experience and good all-rounder knowledge. It is vital you will already have experience working in a business with an inventory. You will be just as comfortable preparing statutory accounts, as you are presenting MI to a Senior Management Team or lending a hand to the Accounts Team by processing some invoices.
You’ll need to be credible and diplomatic, with the ability to tailor your communication style when working with people at all levels both internal and external to the organization. As well as being resourceful and self-motivated you’ll need to be used to working in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines. You will need to be able to influence and motivate others and have the ability to gain trust and respect from all.
This is a varied role with a wide remit and would suit you if you have a strategic approach and want to grow your career along with our growing company.
As we have a global customer and supplier base, experience of foreign exchange would be ideal. If it was gained within a business with continuously moving inventory, even better. If you have already performed a Financial Controller position within a similar business, perfect!
