Job Description

KEY DELIVERABLES:
DISCIPLINE
ACTIVITY

Health & Safety
Demonstrate appropriate Health and Safety behavior to ensure that compliance is at the heart of what we do.
Acting as H&S liaison ensuring annual action plan is achieved, keeping employees safe and the company/directors within the law.
Completing effective risk assessments, updating policy and procedure documentation and work with 3rd parties.
Reporting monthly and annually

Customer Service
Achieve excellent customer service relationships, both internally and externally, through the confident use of good communication techniques

Compliance and Auditing
Adherence to all policies and procedures and statutory legislation obligations
Working with business function leaders to ensure standards are being maintained, understanding the principle and importance of effective auditing, with ability to influence.
Carry out regular internal audits ensuring our policies mirror what we do in practice.
Investigate and pursue audit findings ensuring timely completion of actions.
Representing the company, meeting with external assessors to ensure compliance against each standard to achieve accreditation.

GDPR/Confidentiality:
Maintain highest levels of confidentiality in all aspects of employment. The post holder is required to undertake that they will not divulge to anyone personal and/or confidential information to which they may have access during the course of their work.
Maintain GDPR compliance documentation working with the DPO.

Training

  • Carry out aspects of awareness training and maintain the company management system objectives and targets

Drive continuous improvement, best practice and quality improvements across the team and departments in challenging existing practices and actively seek ways to achieve better outcomes, contributing to ensure key performance and financial targets are met and corrective action taken where necessary. Applies and maintains standard working procedures.
Working within the Health and Safety at Work Act, the post holder has a legal duty to take reasonable care for Health and Safety both for themselves and others who may be affected by their actions. They are also required to undertake Health and Safety training commensurate with the level required by the post and to take part in risk assessment procedures and the implementation of agreed recommended work practices within the area.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong organizational and time management skills, prioritizing effectively to meet multiple deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as the role requires the ability to liaise multiple levels of authority internally and externally. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Appreciation of business processes, procedures and best practice in order to carry out effective audits. Strong PC skills with working knowledge of MS office applications, databases and business portals. Attending, participation and leading meetings, recording details and reporting findings. Ability to confidently express opinion, steer and influence others. Experience and qualifications normally associated with successful performance of role. GSCE level C minimum in English and Math. Business Administration certification or equivalent. Internal Auditor qualification. IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH or equivalent H&S accreditation.
