The key aspects of this Senior Technical Accountant role will be:
Maintain accounting policies and lead on all updates - provide accounting guidance
Provide technical accounting expertise across the Group, both to finance and commercial teams
Engage with Company Secretarial, Tax and Treasury in group restructuring matters
Ensure full compliance with statutory reporting requirements
Support the annual audit process
Provide guidance and support to the Finance team in the accounts and audit file preparation
Review and approve Financial Statements prior to submission to the Auditors / Board
Assist with the presentation of Statutory Accounts to the board
Assist with monthly and quarterly bank and contract reporting requirements
Review and assess property related transactions from a Financial perspective
Support with ad-hoc tasks as requested
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This Senior Technical Accountant role is for an experienced qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) withExperience producing statutory reports, group consolidated accounts under IFRS Up to date technical experience and knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS (16 essential) Excellent communication skills with the ability to present / communicate technical information to a wide audience including non-finance stakeholders Experience within the real estate and property sector desirable but not essential Experience with Caseware or other Financial Reporting software preferable
