Job Description

Our client is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant, on a permanent basis within the Outer Birmingham area for a company offering a role within a business adding exceptional value to society, the salary for this position is between to £35,000 and £40,000 per annum maximum depending on experience.

Please note: It is essential that the ideal candidate is ACA, CIMA or ACCA

Salary: Between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum

Desirable Sector Experience: Housing, Not-For-Profit, Charity or Government Body

Essential Requirements of Management Accountant:

• Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, forecasts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentary
• Providing a support service by working with the operational management team to help make financial decisions
• Ensuring cash generation and spending is kept in line with the budget
• Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions
• Analysis of financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts
• Offering professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance
• Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
• Liaising with other operational managers to put the finances and accounts in context
• Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed
• The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with an extensive track record of management accounting, reporting and commercial business support
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, in order to nurture and develop relationships with key stakeholders
