Job Description

You will be expected to be able to work confidentially and autonomously within an HR advisory capacity reporting to and supporting the Senior HR Manager.


Bringing with you proven experience of working within a similar role you will be an excellent communicator and be able to quickly build relationships with managers across the organisation. Successful candidates must be able to hit the ground running and show they have an excellent & demonstrable knowledge of operational activities and its practical application in the workplace.


The ability to analyse HR data/metrics and translate this into meaningful information will also be key skills for the successful candidate.


This is a varied role where the successful candidate will need to be able to multi-task, have excellent planning & time management skills, be a team player and be prepared to move seamlessly from one task to another, in what is a busy environment.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Essential Skills and Experience Minimum CIPD level 5 Educated to degree level, or equivalent Working knowledge of HRIS / e-rostering systems Significant experience of working as an Senior HR Advisor dealing with absence management, ER case workload Ability to build positive relationships with managers, colleagues and Trade Union representatives. Experience of advising managers on the application of policies and procedures and support in operational HR issues Up to date knowledge of employment legislation Desirable Experience of working in an employee relations role in NHS environment. Experience of Agenda for change terms and conditions of employment. Experience of working in a unionised environment. Experience of advising managers at disciplinary hearing and other formal hearings In return for your commitment there will be the opportunity for you to grow and develop, supporting the Senior HR Manager with more complex employee relations cases and organisational change projects.
