Job Description
Our client is currently working with a service business in Birmingham in the recruitment for a Management Accountant. My client is looking for a Qualified or Newly Qualified Management Accountant to join the business on a permanent basis.
The role is ideally suited to a candidate who is a first time mover from practice and is looking to make a move into industry.
The duties included in the role are as follows;
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Preparing & posting monthly journals: Payroll/Accruals/Prepayments
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Business Partnering across the business to understand costs and support variance analysis
- Monthly board reporting including: P&L/Balance Sheet/ Cashflows and various supporting schedules
- Support FC with analysis and provision of Management Information as required
- Producing consolidated accounts and performing monthly intercompany reconciliations
- Producing & reconciling quarterly VAT Returns
- Working with outsourced Payroll providers and reconciling Payroll Taxes
- Produce year-end accounts in line with FRS 102
- Producing Corporation Tax Returns
- Assistance with producing accounts for the Banking Group
- Support the year-end Audit process
- Support the annual budgeting process
- Check and approve weekly BACS payments runs
- Support the FC in developing and improving processes and procedures
Please note you will not be considered for this role if you are not ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
