Job Description

Your responsibilities:

  • You will hear the case at any disciplinary / grievance hearing.
  • You will carry out thorough investigations.
  • You will arrange hearings.
  • You will manage complex grievances and disciplinaries from start to finish.
  • You will ensure that all parties are aware of and understand the procedures to be followed.
  • You will present the rationale for the decision to the appeal panel, responding to questions asked by the panel and the employee/their representative.
  • You will inform the employee of the decided outcome with the rationale and ensure this is confirmed in writing.
  • You will keep an open mind regarding the outcome and ensure impartiality, fairness and confidentiality throughout the process.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Specialist experience of HR Hearings including complex cases and hearings for grievances and disciplinaries. You must have a minimum of CIPD Level 5. Expert in employment law.
