Management Accountant (Walsall area)

An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a Private Equity backed construction business in the Telecom’s space.

Description

Based in the Walsall area, Intelligent Telecommunications Ltd. (“ITL”) is a quickly growing provider of construction services for fibre network operators. Due to recently attracting Private Equity investment, ITL is looking for a commercially focused, qualified accountant to join the Company as a Management Accountant

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the following:

· Updating the banking system on a daily basis and ensuring accurate allocation of receipts and payments

· Ensure costs are authorised and accurately coded by Project and nominal code

· Prepare monthly management accounts in a timely manner for review and discussion with full supporting evidence for all major balance sheet headings

· Building new processes and implementing improvements

· Reviewing and supporting the Finance Assistants in Accounts Payable & Accounts receivable deliverables

· Be adaptable in using accounting systems including Sage and Xero

· Finance Business Partnering to key stakeholders

· Ensuring the business is compliant for CIS rules and requirements relevant standards and compliance

Ideal Candidate

· Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

· Experience in Project Accounting

· Construction industry background

· Sage and Xero experience (desired)

· Ownership of set deliverables

· Must be flexible and adaptable during times of significant growth and change

· Likes a challenge and to implement process improvement

· Collaborate with others to inspire teams to deliver goals

· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders

· Problem solver

· Excellent attention to detail

· Fully competent in use of Excel including lookups, pivots, sumif, sumifs and get & transform functionality (power query)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00 to £45,000.00 /year
