Our client is an established and expanding organisation based in Birmingham who due to extension is looking to speak to bright graduates who are passionate, flexible and exceptional in customer facing roles looking for a career in accountancy.

They are currently looking for a Graduate Trainee Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to Kick-start your career allowing you to become a qualified accountant through their full study support provided by themselves.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayment schedules.
• Producing customer invoices and the submission of the related collection files.
• Involvement in business improvement projects.
• Spend time with various departments within finance gaining wide exposure to all aspects of accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure reporting is completed on time and is distributed to the correct people.
• Understand and be able to provide a commentary for the figures and any variances to budgets or forecasts.

What we want from you?

• Degree in Maths, Economics, Accounting, and Finance or a numerical based degree (min 2:1)
• Good problem-solving ability.
• Intermediate Excel skills - including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Look Up.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
