We are looking for a qualified Accountant to join the centralised controlling team based at our offices in Solihull, to be part of the financial accounting team for our European entities.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Prepare or support on various monthly financial accountings tasks, for example, but not exclusively:
  • balance sheet reconciliations
  • calculation of sales rebates and warranty provisions
  • perform a monthly business performance review comparing results and balance sheet to prior periods and explain movements
  • review work of other team members as applicable to SOX compliant documentation levels
  • upload data into consolidation software and validate information
  • complete quarterly group reporting package
  • complete quarterly tax reporting package
  • reporting of VAT and employer taxes
• In cooperation with the Local Accounting Manager ensure that laws, rules and recommendations will be followed
• Stay in contact with auditors and public authorities, if required
• Supporting the team with internal controls and SOX compliance
• Participate in development and change projects
• Support and serve as back-up for colleagues in the department
• General tasks in the finance department

The position is full time and located in Solihull, West Midlands, reporting to the Accounting Manager (Solihull) and working in close cooperation with your (app. 10) colleagues in the centralised controlling team, but also the wider site-based finance teams across Europe. The position demands that you have a personal situation allowing work outside of regular office hours a few days every month and also the ability to travel (on a planned basis) for approximately 15%-25% of the time.
