Job Description
  • Responsible for arranging Board and Committee meetings
  • Provide assistance with the preparation of Board and Committee meeting information and packs
  • Take minutes of Committee meetings and ensure that these are typed up, checked and circulated to the relevant parties in a timely manner
  • Assist with reviewing governance arrangements
  • Responsible for annual and adhoc reporting to Companies House
  • Monitor and create compliance reports
  • Investigate compliance risks and issues and provide feedback as necessary
  • Assist in the resolution of complaints, the maintaining of complaints records and complaint reporting to Lloyd`s / the Financial Ombudsman Service
  • Respond to queries from the business including licenses, sanctions, broker remuneration, TOBA`s etc.
  • General assistance in the drafting and updating of policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Provide support with regulatory reporting, including maintaining the business timetable and advising the business of upcoming deadlines

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ideally 2-3 years` company secretarial and/or compliance experience. Some compliance, regulatory or legal knowledge. Some familiarity with governance best practices. Some knowledge of insurance, ideally in a Lloyd`s syndicate environment. Experience of taking and typing up of minutes. Experience of company secretarial duties, including preparation of meeting packs.
