Job Description

In this role you will be accountable for defining and agreeing the connected buildings strategy for customers (requirements and plan), then managing the portfolio of projects through to successful delivery. This will include setting out detailed tasks and timing to be performed by multiple internal and external contacts, performing some of them directly and managing their progress to keep mobilizations on track. You will be the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

You will actively monitor progress against these plans and report regularly to internal and external stakeholders at site / customer / portfolio level, highlighting risks and actions.
You will collaborate with, and coach and mentor, your direct and indirect colleagues to promote efficient on time delivery, excellent customer experience and operational excellence. You’ll either be an experienced project manager that has demonstrated strong adaptability or you’ll have specific experience in delivering AMR, metering and sub-metering projects within the energy industry.

  • Delivering Connected Buildings enablement projects to Time, Cost & Quality
  • High CSAT scores during and 90 days after project completion

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising directly with each customer to agree a strategy for enabling utility metering, including consolidating existing meters and enabling new meters and sub meters.
  • Set out clear plans for enabling utility supplier connections and active utility monitoring for each customer portfolio (building or group of buildings)
  • Project manage delivery of these plans, with transparent communication and reporting including risks, delays and changes in expected timings.
  • Run regular internal and external update meetings to review progress and agree actions to resolve any barriers / risks.
  • Identify solutions to issues by applying problem-solving techniques.
  • Obtain information from clients and their contractors as necessary to complete delivery to time, cost and quality.
  • Develop and continuously evolve tools and templates for planning, tracking and reporting progress clearly and concisely. Link these with key systems, in particular Salesforce, where appropriate.
  • Liaising with the different teams within amber to ensure the strategy is communicated, understood and that project plans capture key tasks and dependencies from each team.
  • Working closely within the team to ensure work is delivered on time or ahead of schedule and expectations of customer are managed accordingly.
  • Improving the processes & systems in place to make team output more efficient and scalable.
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices and innovations, Influence key stakeholders to shape the product strategy
  • Lead and collaborate with all areas of the business to address any challenges that may block delivery.
  • Work closely with onboarding to ensure all new customer are successfully on boarded and have a high CSAT rating within the first few months.
  • Provide coaching to others in areas of expertise to enable up skilling and consistency of service
  • Be a trusted utility consultant and subject matter expert to our passionate customers, building great customer relationships through regular customer interactions including face to face and virtual meetings
  • Build strong relationships and joint roadmaps with our key partners/suppliers

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Significant expertise in client on-boarding or project management of mobilizing multiple complex services at the same time. Experience delivering AMR, metering and sub metering projects within the energy industry. Strong Project management and organizational skills. Proven Supplier Management experience. Strong customer management skills with the ability to present findings and influence strategy. Methodical & process driven with a keen eye and desire to improve along the way. Highly motivated professional with excellent communication and inter-personal skills with business and technical audiences at all levels. You will have a track record in leading by example and naturally motivating those around you. You will be analytical and happy manipulating, analyzing and interpreting data to solve problems. Proven knowledge and experience of energy, water, utility or similar industry. You will have a healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo, and be continuously looking to improve processes, tools and ways of working. Experience Managing Meter Operators and Data Collectors such as Siemens, Plc, Stark, Energy Assets, IMServ, Eon, EDF, Scottish Power, Npower or similar Meter Operators or Energy Data Collectors. Delivery role from within the energy industry. Degree or equivalent qualifications in a relevant subject area. Project Management qualifications. Experience of successfully delivering using agile delivery techniques. Experience of using Salesforce. Experience of working with the PBSA, Property or hospitality industry. Strong commercial acumen. Demonstrates a contagious 'can do' attitude driven through collaborative leadership, coaching/mentoring, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Analytical and process-oriented mindset, with the ability to turn data into management information and then into actionable tasks.
