Managing a caseload of transactions from instruction through to completion, liaising with internal clients and stakeholders, leaseholders, solicitors, local authorities and other third parties to include drafting and negotiating lease extensions, new leases, transfers, contracts for sale and purchase and portfolio contracts, easements, a variety of other deeds, licences and agreements and infrastructure documents such as dedication deeds and option deeds Dealing with pre-emption rights, complex land registry applications, adverse possession claims and unregistered titles.
Performing legal due diligence on matters such as interpretation of leases, deeds and other property title documents, together with analysing complex title structures.
Providing support and assistance to Head of Legal Transactions and Litigation Team as necessary.
Supervising junior members of the team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will be a UK or Common Law qualified lawyer and will be likely to have at least 6 years of Post Qualification Experience. They will have: in depth experience of the UK Real Estate Sector. trained in private practice with a ranked chambers firm. The role would be particularly appropriate for a lawyer who has practised at a West End Firm. In house experience gained post qualification will be looked upon favourably. Experience of enfranchisement, construction law, data protection matters and wayleaves preferred but not essential.
