Job Description
The key responsibilities for the Business Development Director will include:
Identify and prioritise areas of opportunity and lead from the front with business development activity within the security sector.
Being an inspirational and awesome leader and help shape the culture of the team and beyond
Taking ownership of the recruitment, management, development, motivation and performance of the sales team
Monitoring performance of commercial activities using key metrics to report back to the board
Developing relationships at C-Suite level with current and new customers
Work with the marketing team to implement and develop marketing strategy as well as a social media presence.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful Business Development Director should have the following skillset/experience: Strong background and proven track record of success in a B2B sales environment within the security or facilities management sector. Ability to manage entire sales process right through the completion. A background or understanding of the operational side of a business and how this goes hand in hand with business development. Exceptional commercial acumen and an impressive track record of success in growing high performing teams Highly results-oriented; self-starter with the proven ability to drive results Customer focused with demonstrated ability to understand and translate customer needs Strong communicator with the ability to win commitment and enthusiasm for initiatives with all levels, both internally and externally Being SIA regulated would be advantageous though not essential.
