Job Description

This team is responsible for public and technical policy covering accountancy and audit work.

The role focuses on contributing to the improvement of UK corporate reporting through innovation and furthering the opportunities of digital communication.

The successful candidate will encourage innovation in UK corporate reporting and the development of regulatory standards by engaging in a practical way with the wider investment community, preparers and other stakeholders in the standard setting process.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate is likely to be a qualified accountant, with strong experience and good knowledge of UK corporate reporting requirements.

Good knowledge of technologies used in corporate reporting is desirable.

Ability to engage with and command respect of senior stakeholders both internally and externally to inform the development of policy, programmes and strategy.

Engagement with international regulatory authorities and standard setters to understand and respond to changing international policy development in the public interest.

Confident and articulate communicator with credibility on issues relating to corporate reporting and equity capital raising through combined technical experience and intellect.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent analytical skills and judgement. First-class technical skills (ability to provide legally sound, clear and constructive advice). Strong written and oral communication skills.
