The Role & Responsibilities of the Production Manager

• To arrange and prioritise work within the department to ensuring production and sales targets are met
• To manage the team in accordance with HR policies and procedures
• Order consumables, arrange equipment maintenance or repair, engineering/ quality support
• Liaise with other departments to ensure safe and smooth running of the area
• Training and development of employees
• Conduct daily production meetings, project meetings, performance evaluation, disciplinary meetings
• Achieve and exceed business objectives and implement them in close cooperation with other departments
• Ensure standard hour productivity is achieved & pipelines created to improve levels month on month
• Control & flex labour in line with the 13 week plans
• Ensure RCCA is demonstrated and communicated

Requirements of the Production Manager

• Manufacturing background
• Kaizen & Lean manufacturing
• IOSH
• ILM
• 3 years experience in a production management position
• Up to date with quality and EH&S standards
• Ability to deliver results and achieve KPIs in business constraints
• Managing people and change
