Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overall control of the company's finance function
  • Supplier and contract management, providing regular updates to the Management Board
  • Overall responsibility for all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit, systems, tax, VAT analysis and reporting
  • Prepare/review of monthly management accounts for business and and external stake holders
  • supporting the board with strategies and planning to grow the business
  • Lead and manage the annual budget process and taking initiatives in controlling costs appropriately
  • Manage the statutory audit process and secure approval of the statutory accounts
  • Complete monthly management reports - P&L against budget, balance sheet, sales, debtors
  • Manage cash flow reporting and forecasting
  • Produce and review monthly cost / margin analysis
  • Manage all aspects of accounts receivable & accounts payable processes
  • To be a leader in the business, positively motivate team members and represent the business in a way that enhances client perceptions

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent (min 5 years post qualified) Strong understanding of investments, fund and products within the Financial Service industry Strong PC skills including Excel, relevant accounting package Well established problem-solving skills Strong analytic ability Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload Experience managing finance across multiple entities Experience in developing and implementing best practice finance systems and processes
