The day to day running of the finance department including management of the finance team
To prepare accurate periodic profit statements and balance sheets
To ensure that the ledgers and control accounts in the accounts system are formally balanced/reconciled each accounting period
Running of accounting system including maintenance of system controls
Cash flow
Rebates
Calculate and collect member subscriptions
Main point of contact for the Auditors
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Previous management experience Good interpersonal skills to organise members of the department and support development Organised and able to meet tight deadlines Ability to communicate at all levels Ability to delegate where necessary Strong Excel skills and overall IT skills Good work ethic and willingness to progress
