Job Description

Reporting to the International CFO and to the UK General Manager, the Finance Manager will be responsible for running the UK Finance operations and have full responsibility for all statutory reporting. You will work with the European head office to create a UK finance function from scratch and implement systems and processes to ensure its smooth running and ability to scale up as the business grows.

You will work closely with the business to create a finance function that supports business growth through effective business partnering, budgeting and forecasting.

You will act as a key business partner supporting bid processes, supervising the sales administration, analysing the performance indicators of the business, supporting decisions and implementing strategies to improve the financial processes and maximise efficiencies.

As a key member of the leadership team you will be responsible for developing and managing accurate financial reports and provide financial analyses as needed in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, contract negotiations etc.

As the business continues to grow you will grow a finance team around you in Brighton and be responsible for its strategic and operational leadership.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with 3-5 years post qualification experience in industry. Our client is open to sector experience, however experience of working in a high growth environment, ideally in a IT/ technology or service sector organisation would be beneficial. Someone who's worked in a business partnering/ Finance Manager position and is confident at getting out into the business and finding commercial solutions to business challenges. Strong technical skills and experience of leading month end and year end processes. Highly commercial and analytical mindset. An ambitious individual who wants to join a company on the up and help them move to the next stage.
