Job Description

· Ensure that all electrical inspection, testing and repair work carried out in void properties is completed effectively to enable turnaround within performance targets, and to the customer’s expectation.

· Ensure that electrical installations in void properties are in a safe state of repair by acting on any unsafe or potentially unsafe observations quickly and effectively.

· Contribute to the delivery of an efficient first-class reactive repairs service, by providing electrical installation, repairs and maintenance works within agreed procedures and timescales; whilst ensuring a great customer experience.

· Liaising with customers, supervisors, team leaders, the wider trade’s team, external contractors, suppliers and other colleagues, providing advice and support when needed.

· Complete customer satisfaction surveys as required.

· Contribute to the continued safety of our customers, staff and the public by ensuring that all works are carried out in line with appropriate regulations, standards and health & safety legislative requirements, reporting non-compliance when applicable.

· Ensure that electrical installation condition reports and all relevant electrical certification is completed on time and submitted to the Contracts manager in accordance with the businesses agreed procedures.

· Carry out additional compliance checks and works as required ensuring that certification is submitted correctly and on time.

· Carry out planned electrical installation rewiring and other electrical works e.g. kitchen refurbishments, in accordance with building regulations, other legislative requirements, BS7671 and other relevant standards, liaising with staff, contractors, suppliers and other external stakeholders.

· Train apprentices or trainees when allocated to you.

· Take personal responsibility for any legislative changes that impact upon your work.

· Take responsibility of any stock allocated to you.

· Ensure any equipment that you have is fit for purpose.

Job type and salary:

· Full-time and permanent role’s in a business with ambition and an ever-increasing amount of work in both domestic and commercial properties.

· £28k basic with the option to earn up to £34k with overtime on a price per call basis.

· 8-hour shift.

· Monday to Friday.

· 28 holidays per annum which includes bank holidays.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Relevant 2 Years+ The ideal candidate would be fully qualified to 17th edition standards as a minimum. 2391 inspection & testing. · Full and clean. · Subject to DBS check where required.
