We are looking for a QualifiedElectrician to join our well established electrical company. Based in Newport, we are a family run business trading for over 11 years. We are NICEIC Approved contractors and undertake a variety of tasks relating to electrical installation and maintenance.
Your job will involve installing, maintaining and faultfinding on electrical wiring in Industrial, Commercial and Domestic buildings. It may also involve aspects of minor building works such as timber framing and plaster boarding.

Additional Responsibilities
Execute plans, drawings and Spec's. of electrical wiring for lights, power, security and CCTV
Install electrical fixtures and equipment for all electrical and data systems
Install and replace main consumer units and switchgear
Connect wiring of electrical circuits and networks
Prepare and assemble containment systems
Carry out general electrical installation and maintenance work
Test, inspect and certify all work
Carry out fault finding on Industrial plant

Job Duties:
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems while observing all statutory and legal requirements
Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
Provide professional assessments and advice for customers
Review maintenance work orders and ensure all requirements/preparations are fully undertaken before commencing work

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Be experienced in different kinds of electrical environments and systems. Have good interpersonal skills to offer friendly and high standard customer service. Have good organizational and planning skills to be able to organize your own materials and feedback accurately on expected time scales of projects. Be able to use initiative and be self sufficient. Be keen to adapt and learn new skills yourself and by way of training provided by the company. Be able to integrate and work well as part of a growing team. Be used to working to a high standard making neatness of installation a primary factor, this is of paramount importance. NVQ Level 3 Qualified Electrician. City and Guilds Testing and Inspecting 2391 or newer preferred but not essential. 18th Edition Update. Experience in industrial, commercial and domestic electrical systems. ECS Gold Card. Flexibility to work extra hours and away when required (currently infrequent). Full UK Driving license. Living in Newport County, Torfaen or within 20mins of Newport. Have experience in other aspects of the building trade. Be able to self-manage. Electrical: 7 years (Required) Qualified Electrician: 3 years (Required)
