Job Description

Apprenticeships at JN Bentley are hands-on from day one; with a dedicated mentor to support your development throughout the course.
What you'll do:

  • Supporting a multi-million pound turnover business, it is vital members of our Finance team are organized, diligent and able to work under pressure. During your apprenticeship you'll have the opportunity to get involved in all areas of finance including:
  • Assisting in the preparation and production of the accounts, including monthly management accounts;
  • Ensuring the prompt payment of suppliers and subcontractors and tracking payments from our clients
  • Maintaining accurate payments receipt records and audit costing systems as well as managing payments of monthly expenses and subsistence;
  • Analysis of monthly performance and assisting with the preparation of the monthly finance pack;
  • Interaction with other overhead departments and with the wider operational business
  • Future career prospects:
  • An apprenticeship in accounting and finance opens up a number of future career prospects in that industry - with progression opportunities within the accountancy field.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
English and Math to GCSE Grades A - C or equivalent. . Educated to A-level standard, preferably including Math, Economics or accounting . Eligible to work in the UK. . Proficient in Excel with a good understanding of data input processes A friendly, polite approach to work, with great communication skills. . Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work professionally as part of a team.
