We have fantastic opportunity for a Financial Assistant to join our close-knit Finance team. The team are Leeds based in a fantastic central location with remote working opportunities.

Working closely with the Financial Accountant, and with a direct reporting line to the Financial Controller, you would an integral part of the team. The role is a hybrid role incorporating the management of the Purchase Ledger cycle as well as exposure to management accounting.

What you’ll do:

• Manage Purchase ledger for general overheads, including coding and reconciliations
• Prepare and monitor detailed accruals and prepayments within management accounts
• Prepare, input and reconcile journals into Access Dimensions accounting software
• Check and reconcile Gross Profit Margins
• Check accuracy of contract rates and dates
• Reconcile supplier portal accounts
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Check coding and challenge internal expenses
• Maintain Petty cash reconciliation
• Complete adhoc reports as required
• Support with month end duties as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong numeracy skills (a numerical aptitude test will form part of the assessment process). Good Microsoft Excel skills. Positive attitude and desire to learn. Effective communication skills and a willingness to be a team player. Attention to detail and a logical mind. Some previous experience of nominal ledger, purchase ledger and double entry bookkeeping. Experience of working in recruitment firm or similar consulting environment.
