Job Description

A technology company in the heart of Birmingham is looking for a highly motivated accounts assistant to join a busy but small accounting team

Your duties will include:

  • collating purchase invoices to their order documentation and validation of supply;
  • coding and posting financial transactions appropriately to the appropriate accounts;
  • processing payments;
  • reconcile sales and purchases accounts to statements and resolving differences;
  • reconciling bank accounts;
  • keeping the petty cash on an impressed system;
  • track expenses as they relate to specific projects and jobs;
  • key data into company accounting system;
  • assisting the other members of the team with their duties; and
  • general administrative assistance to the management of the company.

Your profile:

You will have good mathematical and administrative skills.  You will be focused on the detail with tenacity to fully resolve issues and problems.  Good computer skills are essential, experience with Sage is not essential but a strong advantage.  Experience in bookkeeping is essential as is, a do it now attitude.  You will need to be a team player willing and able to help your colleagues.
