Job Description
An experienced Assistant Accountant reporting to the Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the finance function delivers what is required by the wider business, you will have worked within a medium sized finance function previously with responsibility for some of the range of outlined responsibilities here with multi company experience an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of Sage 50 accounts, excellent excel skills and be confident dealing with internal and external key stakeholders with both financial and non-financial information.
Preferably working towards CIMA qualification with excellent attention to detail, the ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically and able to use initiative and are an innovative thinker.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
Preparing and posting month end journals
Reconciliation of the bank accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with preparation of month end accounts
Monthly & Quarterly VAT returns
Prepayments and Accruals
Reconciliation with costing reports
Sub-contractor validation and payments
Budget and forecasting
Capital acquisition and financing
Assisting with purchase ledger and sales ledger
Ad-hoc duties, reporting and analysis
Monday - Friday 0830-1700
