Job Description

A leading innovative SME manufacturer and supplier of building products who sell through multiple channels require an ambitious and sales focused Managing Director with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive top and bottom line growth.

The successful Managing Director will have full responsibility for the operations, commercial function and financial management of the company.

• Deliver a strategic business plan designed to optimize performance
• Control of all aspects of the business and for the balance sheet including forecasting and budgeting.
• Delivery of sales growth through a diverse customer base within the building & construction sector via multiple channels including project specification for new build and refurbishment projects, digital e-commerce to consumer and business to business.
• Maintain consistent product quality, manufacturing efficiency and implement operational best practice.
• New product and market development.
• Represent the company at senior levels within the customer base to ensure that relationships are maintained and enhanced.

A well-rounded business leader with experience in a manufacturing business supplying into a broad range of sectors and routes to market. Demonstrable track record of success in taking new products to market. Flexibility of thinking with an informal and inclusive leadership style that would suit a rapidly expanding SME environment. People focused approached who can demonstrate experience of installing a 'can do-will do culture throughout career. Exposure and experience within an operations environment. Astute commercially with an externally focused market driven approach. Based in the West Midlands / North West of the UK with flexibility to travel across the UK when required. Strategic thinker with a strength in analyzing and interpreting information. An open and likeable personality with honesty and integrity. At ease at all levels and with all stakeholders in the business and wider group operating equally effectively in the boardroom and on the shop floor. Ambitious mind set and entrepreneurial approach.
