Job Description

Accounts Payable Assistant required for an exciting permanent opportunity, working within a well established business based in central Birmingham. You will be working as part of a small but busy team where you will be responsible for; matching, batching & coding invoices, reconciling statements and resolving queries.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Experience in Accounts Payable in order to perform the job effectively and with minimum supervision

Will be confident and accurate in the use of computerised finance systems

Strong excel knowledge

Experience in supplier account reconciliations

Basic understanding of VAT and taxation rules relating to purchases and payments

Ability to demonstrate initiative - capable of making considered decisions confidently and correctly and taking related actions

Excellent communication skills, confident & professional in both verbal and written, together with a high level of interpersonal skills

Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills

You must be immediately available or available on short notice (less than one week) to be considered for this opportunity.
