Job Description

We have an opportunity for 2 new Health Care Assistants to join our friendly and stable team. The West Wing Clinic supports the cancer service to deliver outpatient care to patients who are undergoing investigations as they have a high risk of cancer or are being treated for cancer. The majority of the clinics support the Women’s Cancer Dept. but, there are some blood cancer that take place. Our clinics have a high number of nurses and health care assistants to provide a supportive and caring environment for the patients and, the team works well together.

The health care assistants help with the coordination of the clinic by ensuring all patients are weighed and taking bloods when required. Due to the high volume of patient examinations a key element of the role is chaperoning patients.
