Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of our 4300 practice population. Ideally we are looking for a Level 3 trained HCA although if you are not trained to level 3 at present, but you are training towards Level 3 this would be acceptable.  The vacancy is for approximately 15 hours per week Mon-Fri between the hours of 8.00am-6.30pm. Hours can be negotiated for the right candidate.

Our patient focused team consists of 1 GP Partner, 3 Salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Treatment Room Nurse and 1 HCA. We are supported by a LHB pharmacist and dietician and have regular clinics for the midwife, counsellor, health visitor and drug support worker.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•            At least 1 years General Practice (or other Health Care environment) experience as a Health Care Assistant •            NVQ Level 3 in Health Care (or working towards level 3) •            Proficient in EmisWeb and good computer skills •            Ability to work independently and under pressure. •            The post covers a range of Health Care Assistant duties at Level 3 as per the enclosed Job description and person spec. Therefore please check these before applying to make sure that you have all the relevant skills/experience needed. •            If you are not trained to level 3 at present but you are in training (or happy to train up to this level) then please still apply i.e. you have all the essential criteria from the person spec and currently training in the desired section.
