Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a full time Administrator with secretarial skills to predominantly support the Wakefield Safeguarding Children’s team.
This is a full-time position for 37.5 hours working Monday to Friday
You will be responsible for delivering an effective and efficient administrative and secretarial support service to the Safeguarding Team; this will include comprehensive secretarial and administrative duties including data management using Excel, minute taking and the production of letters, reports and minutes.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Will be able to use their own initiative and have an eye for detail. Be computer literate and have an intermediate level understanding of MS Office. Previous administrative experience. Excellent secretarial, organizational, data entry and keyboard skills. Be able to work to tight deadlines, changing and challenging situations, whilst maintaining attention to detail. Be able to manage competing and changing priorities, handle a number of tasks simultaneously and complete all of the tasks in an effective manner. Arrange, attend and take minutes of meetings. You will need to be enthusiastic, have good problem-solving skills, be creative and innovative in your approach, and work well under pressure. The successful applicant will be able to prepare and format word documents to a high standard. They will have experience and ability in using excel for data collection and reporting. Experience of using all relevant Microsoft applications successfully is an essential function of the role.
