Job Description

Your role will require you to input outpatient bookings. You will be required to liaise with consultants and their secretaries, as well as any other stakeholders such as members of the Outpatient team and other departments within the hospital.
You will need to communicate effectively with patients and deal with their enquiries in a professional and caring manner. You will be responsible for sending out patient information regarding appointments. You will need to manage, appraise, and interpret data, information and situations. This will include handling all enquiries efficiently and effectively and escalating where necessary, ensuring all data/information is entered, modified, maintained and presented accurately and efficiently using the appropriate electronic or manual system and format. Preparing standard and adhoc reports as required by the department, providing clinic management support.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
It is imperative that candidates must have competent IT and keyboard skills, good communication/interpersonal skills, good organization and analytical skills. Candidates with a good knowledge and understanding of medical terminology desirable but not essential. Candidates must also be prepared to undertake training as necessary for the role.
