Finance Assistant
Our client is currently recruiting for a full-time Finance Assistant join a busy team in a business that is continually growing.
We are looking for someone who is professional, confident, organized and able to work as part of a busy team. Within this role you will be required to form strong, lasting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
You must have a minimum of at least 12 months experience working within an accounts department, preferably with training in double-entry bookkeeping as a minimum.

Sales Ledger
• To approve and set up new customers on the internal IT systems, ensuring they are credit checked
• approving and sending invoices using internal systems and monthly statements.
• to assist with Credit Control
• resolving customer enquiries
• raising and monitoring the level of credits
• uploading receipts from customers, both from invoice finance and visa receipts and banking cheques
• maintaining customer details on the internal systems
Purchase Ledger
• To approve and set up new suppliers on the internal IT systems
• Approving supplier Invoices, identifying and querying any discrepancies with supplier invoices
• liaising with suppliers regarding accounts queries
• maintaining supplier details on the internal system
• purchasing stationery where required – in line with budgets
General Duties
• Filing of Customer Purchase Order
• Answering the Telephone
• Opening/Sending Post
• Assisting the Accounts Supervisor on adhoc reports
Key skills required
• Knowledge of finance and accounts procedures.
• Understanding of Factoring Systems
• Managing multiple and changing priorities at once.
• Good computer skills including Word, Excel and MS Outlook.
• Knowledge of internal sales system, preferably Cin7 and an accounts systems, preferable Xero – however, training will be provided.
• Good typing and keyboard skills.
• Able to manage administrative processes.
• A good level of Mathematics and English spelling and grammar.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 with an hour for lunch.
