Job Description

Key responsibilities will include:

• Presenting financial information in a commercially-digestible manner up to Board level
• Monthly cashflow reporting
• Creating of robust capex budgets and approval of capex spend
• Contributing to and maintaining a rolling 5-year business plan for Group
• Review and approval of all major contractual relationships with a focus on ensuring best value
• Ensuring financial procedures and internal controls are successfully embedded
• Ensuring all regulatory & compliance requirements are met as required
• Asset ratio reviews with commercial commentary
• Taking a leading role in consolidation of month end and year end accounts
• Acting as a key point of contact for auditors
• Overseeing a small team of financial accountants

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Be a fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) accountant Demonstrate a strong, up to date technical Finance knowledge and be comfortable taking a leading role with month and year end accounting work Have prior experience working at a similar level/remit, showing commercial exposure and stakeholder management experience in addition to the technical Finance work Evidence their ability to play a key role in integrating strategic processes to help meet both short and long term business objectives Be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills, coupled with the ability to influence and motivate Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm and passionate approach Have excellent IT and systems skills; ideally candidates will have some knowledge of Sage systems
