Job Description

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the prescription order line and Stoma appliance service.

An important part of the role will be to collate various types of data so candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of all Microsoft packages together with high level of accuracy and attention to detail. We are looking for candidates who are able to work on their own initiative, take responsibility where needed and can demonstrate good time management skills with an ability to work under pressure. A knowledge of practice systems (Emis/SystmOne) would be advantageous.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful post holders must have a NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Business Administration, minimum of 2 years Healthcare administration experience in a busy office environment, excellent communication skills, organization skills and experience of handling confidential information. The ideal candidates will be self-motivated individuals who are able to work independently, have experience of managing their own workload efficiently and be able to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment in order to meet deadlines. Candidates must have excellent people skills with an ability to build strong working relationships within their team and with a wider group of stakeholders.
