Bookkeeper (Xero) - Practice Accountancy - upto £25k Package depending on experience

Person Requirements

The ideal candidate for this Bookkeeper role will have an extensive accounting and finance background. Excellent working knowledge of Xero is ESSENTIAL. They must be ambitious, motivated and able to seamlessly support the everyday accounting functions of the businesses they support. The candidate will have an interest in working with a wide range of business sectors and be able to tailor their service accordingly. Formal Accounting qualifications are desirable but sufficient QBE will definitely also be considered. They are looking for a friendly team player who has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in the standard of their work and appearance.

Roll Outline

A permanent Practice Bookkeeper roll supporting a busy multi-client accountancy practice - full time but would consider part time applicants. You will be supporting all aspects of day to day accountancy covered under the roll responsibilities below. Helping the Clients of the Practice to excel at what they do best is at the heart of this roll.

Roll Responsibilities

- Bookkeeping

- Payroll

- Preparation of Management Accounts (experience of this desirable but not essential)

- CIS Returns

- Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledger Maintenance

- Processing Journals

- Accurate Data Entry

Experience, qualifications and desirables

- XERO SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

- Existing Bookkeeping experience essential

- Practice Accountancy experience highly desireable

- AAT Qualification desirable but not essential

- Chartered desirable but not essential

- Qualified by Experience perfectly acceptable

- Receiptbank, Sage line 50 experience desirable
